  1. This is fantastic. I was teaching my 4 year old incorrectly that Hammerfest was the northernmost city. Thank you for sharing!!

      Yes, a fascinating report! Although (and just for the sake of being an irritating pedant) I should suggest that neither Hammerfest nor Longyearbyen is the world’s northernmost city, as both still only have town status. I believe that it’s Tromso, also on Norway’s northern coast, that enjoys that accolade! ?
