I really dislike Twitter’s notification emails of new followers where the subject line now just says “You have a new follower on Twitter.” In the past it was the person’s name and their handle — here’s a sample: “Natalie Bahadur @NatalieBahadur is now following you.” As you can see from the screenshot above if I want to see who’s following me I have to open up the email instead of quickly glancing. I’m sure Twitter is only doing this to get a higher open rate but it may backfire – especially with folks like me (@JohnnyJet) who get a fair amount of signups each day and set up a filter. In the past I would go into my Twitter folder and quickly glance new signups. If a name looked familiar or interesting I would open it to read their bio. Now, I won’t have time to open each one so I will never know who’s following me which blows.
How do you like it?

I agree! I liked the former format, and no, I’m not a luddite as I often appreciate change! I liked the fact that it was handy to see who was following and you could easily check out any interesting folks. However, I could do with more followers @grumpysguide so if you get too many, kindly chuck them my way.
