40% Bonus on Transfers to British Airways Avios

British Airways
Good news! Today through September 27, 2012, American Express Cardmembers will receive 40 percent more Avios when transferring American Express Membership Rewards points into British Airways Executive Club.

For example, instead of receiving 1,000 Avios for 1,000 Membership Rewards points, Cardmembers will receive 1,400 Avios for the same 1,000 Membership Rewards points when they transfer points between August 28 and September 27, 2012.

Avios may be redeemed for travel from New York to London, Los Angeles to Chicago, Dallas to Honolulu and more than 750 other destinations worldwide served by British Airways and its oneworld alliance partners.

It’s a great deal for domestic travel and as much as I love to fly British Airways it’s not worth it to book with them using points as they charge a crazy amount of taxes and fees.

To transfer Membership Rewards points into Executive Club, American Express Cardmembers should visit membershiprewards.com/britishairways. Once points have been transferred, reward flights* can be booked on British Airways or any oneworld alliance partner by visiting ba.com/executiveclub.

American Express Cardmembers who do not have an Executive Club account can enroll at no cost at membershiprewards.com/britishairways.

*reward flight bookings are subject to availability and exclude taxes, fees and charges.
