Earn 30,000 bonus points for limited-time on American Express Starwood Rewards Card

Update: The 30,000 point bonus is no longer available. It is now 25,000 points.

Great news! American Express has extended the limited-time offer for the Starwood business card and Starwood consumer card. Now, you can earn up to 30,000 bonus points until Tuesday, September 4th and get the first year free!

Every traveler I know who has this card loves it! The main reasons why are because it only has a $65 annual fee (much cheaper than most airline credit cards), you can transfer reward points to over 30 different airline frequent flyer programs WITHOUT any fees, surcharges, or penalties and you get a 25 percent bonus for every 20,000 points you transfer.

How it works: Receive 10,000 points after your first purchase and an additional 20,000 when you spend $5,000 within the first 6 months.

Full Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links but I would recommend this card regardless of whether they paid us a referral fee or not because it’s just that good. As always, thanks for your support!

  1. What action do you take when a credit card company will not honor their promotional offer? AMEX won’t acknowledge that I am eligible for the 15,000 SPG point bonus after spending $5000.

Good question. Do you have proof? Contact Chris Elliott to see if he will do a story about it

      • They’re telling me this promo you shared above was for people who have never had an AMEX card before. I was given 7500 points as a gesture of good will this morning. It’s not what I was expecting, but it’s enough to make me stop pursuing.

I did learn a lesson. Create PDF files of the applications you fill out, and their terms and conditions of your offers.

  2. I am having the same problem. I signed up during the 30,000 bonus point promo from the link on this page. I charged the required amount of money and then only received 10,000 points. I have not gotten even the extra 15,000 or the 20,000 I was supposed to get. I have sent two emails to the American Express and they have said that their promotions department will look into it and if I am correct, I will get a credit on my statement. It has been three cycles and I have not heard a darned thing. I am very disappointed. Any suggestions? Looking at the comment above, was it really generous of AMEX to give Brian half of the points that he should have gotten?
