    • Hi Neil,

Though I’m not entirely sure why this happens, there are two things you can do to try and address this problem. You can clear your cache and try reloading the page. Alternatively, if you are running ad blocking software, sometimes this will disrupt widgets, etc. Try turning that off and reloading the page.

  7. Johnny you have the BEST sweeps! Love the site

  8. Re: Twitter: Why do you need to “Access your direct messages.”?

    • Hi Jay,

Promosimple, whose widget we use to facilitate the contest, decides what permissions to request from Twitter, we are unable to alter these terms. I believe the reason they require the access to direct messages is for the “Twitter ‘Tweet'” entry so the widget can publish the tweet directly if you choose to utilize that option. I have contacted Promosimple for further clarification. If you have concerns I would recommend looking at Twitters terms of service if you have concerns. Thank you.

I tried gaining the 4 extra entries to your contest on your website for following on twitter etc. but I keep receiving error messages. Can you help? I did clear my cache so that is not the issue. Thank you so much.

I subscribed to your newsletter, followed on Twitter, like on Facebook, and tweeted on Twitter(GiveAwayCity), and there is now where to show where I did these things. Just a box that shows how many days left to enter and how many entries, and my entries so far and it still shows zero……..hummmm

    • Hi Marcia,

Sorry you’re having issues, there are a couple things you can try to do to address the problem. If you did not use the widget above to enter your contact info and follow Johnny on social media, that is what you have to do to enter. After you enter your contact info a second window will appear in that box to confirm your liking/following. Alternatively, you can try clearing your recent cookies and reload the page or try a separate e-mail address in the contact info. I hope one of these things helps!

  22. Elizabeth Langston says:

Thanks! I follow both of you on Twitter (@2brno2b) but don’t want to authorize an app to post tweets for me, so the entry form won’t recognize that I follow you. :-( Pinned, though: http://pinterest.com/pin/13229392627911003/

    • Hi Elizabeth,

You are correct that the entry form will not recognize that you follow, and unfortunately the form is what we use to randomly pick a winner. I have asked Promosimple why they require some of the terms on the Twitter App. I was told that all of that wording is from Twitter, and they have no control over it, but Promosimple assured me that they would never access a user’s direct messages and will never send a Tweet without being initiated by the user clicking on a Tweet button. Not sure if that assuages your concerns, but I thought I would pass it along. And thanks for Pinning!

  23. I don’t have a form to enter the contest on this page. Where is it? Thanks, CP

  24. Claudia Davis says:

after days of trying, I finally was able to get 4/5 entries. My facebook entry won’t register even if I UNLIKE then LIKE again. The error message is “This field is required.” I have cleared my cache and temp files. Still, no luck. I even went to the link you posted above.

We have reached out to Promosimple with a question about why this may have happened. If you have issues with subsequent contests please let us know.

      Thank you!
