SocksPack an Extra Pair of Socks
If you wear flip-flops or shoes without socks when you’re traveling, then pack an extra pair of socks in your carry-on bag so that you can quickly put them on while in line at security. Those floors are dirty—and who knows what you could catch from them! Plus, they’ll help keep your toes warm on your flight.

During the warmer times of the year my wife wears a lot of sandals. She also does not like to walk through security barefoot. She keeps her old socks for walking through security then tosses them afterwards. Or, she will buy real cheap socks for the same purpose. With the new Global Entry we do not always have to remove our shoes.

I have stockpiled socks from hospital stays with the rubber things on the bottom which are great for this as well as on the plane to keep our feet warm and then toss. You can buy them all over though. The little “bootie” type socks can be purchased cheap instead of a real sock as they go on and off easily. I use those often for security and on the plane.. you really shouldn’t fly in flip flops or that type of shoe for safety sake if you are a worrier even though they are comfy to take off and on. My father who was a pilot always made us wear real shoes in case of an emergency to have our feet safely covered to get out of the plane if it ever came to that.

If you park with one of the off airport lots, many time the bus will have a rack that has throwaway security slippers to wear just for that reason.

Great minds think alike! I always do this and am glad I do. But I don’t get those great seats you have in your photo, whaaa.

Remember those green foamy slippers you used to get at the hospital. Don’t know where to get them but they would be good and cheap. Use once and toss.

How about those inexpensive pedicure slippers?? Those would work well too!
