OvernightFeel and Look Fresh on Overnight Flights
If you are taking a long international flight and your flight departs at night, then take a hot shower before going to the airport. Hey, if you’re flying business, some lounges have showers so you can take a quick one before the flight. I do this for two reasons: 1, a hot shower helps me sleep better and 2, when I arrive at my destination, I don’t look and feel so grimy.

FYI: That photo was taken aboard our honeymoon flight from Toronto to Seoul (to Bali) on Korean Airlines.

As we leave Maui next month we’re on a late flight. Being able to clean up before the flight but after our hotel check out I’ve reserved the cheapest room I could find near the airport. This will give us a place to keep our bags and to shower before our 9pm flight. I would have looked into a hospitality room or use of the spa at our hotel but we’re very far from the airport out there. Being able to shower before the flight is worth the cost of the room for a few hours!

Just started traveling and no miles, no status, no nothin’ so no lounge. I’m hopeful for the future though and really enjoy your blog. Taking the non stop from Austin to London soon and very excited. First overseas trip in many years but lots more on the horizon. :)

I have a 21 hour flight in September and it’s going to be gruelling. I have a really hard time on flights, not because I’m scared of flying (I can’t be, I’m on a plan at least a few times a year!) but because I always feel gross after a flight. I have never been on a plane that has showers, and unfortunately we’re travelling coach so we likely won’t have this opportunity but I’m always looking forward to a nice shower and nap when we get to our destination.
