Travel Website of the Week: AirPnP

AirPnPThis Tuesday is Mardi Gras, a day on which New Orleans will play host to high levels of shenanigans, and people. That apparently made it the right time to test out a new app called AirPnP, which is like the name-inspiring Airbnb of bathrooms. Basically, people can rent out their bathrooms to people in need of them—and there are many people in need of bathrooms each year at Mardi Gras. At the time this BBC article was posted, 20 bathrooms had been listed (all in New Orleans but one, which is confusingly in Budapest) and 2,000 people had signed up for the app.

Will it work and catch on? What do you think?

  1. Will these strangers just “use the facilities” (like a public toilet? Or, will they take baths?
This is unclear. I have 3 bathrooms in my home but would never RENT them out.
