If you’re traveling to Europe this summer and taking the train, be sure to use the bathroom before getting off. Why? Because most train stations charge one Euro ($1.36) just to use theirs. That’s a Euro that can be better spent on gelato!

    good suggestion: and the earlier you use the facility the cleaner it MAY be; tissues are helpful too, just wish they had better picture instructions on how to lock the door!

    And if you can even get to the bathroom during a train change. Quite often they are located in a far corner of the train station. Milan and Zurich only have one set of toilets in their entire stations.
