WaterBottle Safety
I was reminded recently that plastic bottles (for water, etc.) are cheap in many foreign countries, and that’s an important point when traveling with them in your bag. Here’s what happened: I bought one in Italy on a ferry and put it in my bag as I headed to the train station.

When I reached for it later, I realized it had cracked and started leaking into my bag. I didn’t have it in the bag with my electronics so just my clothes got wet, but that was just good fortune. It could have been worse. So remember: Overseas (and anywhere), be careful where you store your plastic bottles, especially the really cheap kind that don’t close securely.

And to avoid having to always buy water and other drinks on the road, this water bottle (and others in the SIGG line) is a great option.

I like a water bladder like the Platypus or if you like a bottle, check out the Vapor line. They pack small and light. http://vapur.us/ or on Amazon
