Carry-onPut Carry-Ons in Zipper-First
To minimize the risk of carry-on theft on the plane, put your carry-on bag(s) in the overhead bin across the aisle from you and put the zippers in facing first. That way you can always see if someone is trying to get in your bag and it makes it much more difficult for a thief to try and steal something out of it. You can make it even more difficult by locking the pocket(s) that hold your valuables (and while you’re at it, a bag protector for your checked luggage is a good idea, too).
