reader-travel-tip2The Beach Suitcase/Cooler
Each Friday, we’re featuring a reader-submitted tip as our Travel Tip of the Day. This week’s tip comes from reader Karol H. (again!), who says:

“When traveling to a beach destination, I bring a zip-up, soft-sided (suitcase type) little cooler on wheels. I pack it with all the beach necessities, snorkel gear, water shoes, sun screen, blow-up floaties, pool toys, etc. I check it as luggage and when we reach our destination, I have a cooler to pack with snacks, for drinks by the pool and to bring on excursions to the beach. It’s also handy because I don’t have to worry about the sunscreen, etc., leaking in my luggage. I can also wheel everything around easily when I’m at my destination. On the way home, I pack it with dirty clothes or anything wet. Comes in handy on trips!”

Packing well is all about consolidation and practicality—and that’s what this one’s all about. Thanks, Karol!

FYI: In the cooler category, I also recommend the amazingly portable Ice Mule Cooler.
