Earliest travel memory: My earliest travel memory was taking road trips to a local amusement park, but I remember watching Aladdin and wanting to ride elephants. My family and I didn’t have the money to travel, but thankfully credit card rewards allowed me to travel to India to fulfill my dream of riding on an elephant and seeing lots of things I’d never imagined I’d be able to!

Favorite American city: San Francisco, CA

Favorite international city: Paris, Budapest, or Bombay.

Least favorite country: I learn something new with each country I visit.

Friendliest people in the world: There are friendly people all over the world!

Country with the meanest immigration officers: Everyone gets grumpy sometimes. :)

Favorite World Heritage Site: Iguazu Falls.

Favorite airline: Southwest for domestic flights. Cathay Pacific and Etihad Airlines are nice for international trips.

Favorite aircraft type: The double deckers are pretty cool.

Aisle or window: Aisle.

Favorite airport lounge: Cathay Pacific lounge in Hong Kong.

Favorite U.S. airport: Traverse City airport—I love the interior design and the short lines!

Favorite international airport: Whichever airport that gets me closest to my destination.

Favorite hotel: Park Hyatt in Milan. The location, interior design, and great service make it a must!

Favorite cruise line: I’ve never been on a cruise. :)

Favorite travel credit card: Chase Sapphire Preferred.

Favorite island: Rangali Island, Maldives.

Favorite beach: Rangali Island, Maldives—the snorkeling is fantastic!!

Favorite fancy restaurant: Alinea in Chicago, IL.

Favorite hole-in-the-wall: Rocket’s Pizza.

Favorite bar: The Aviary

Favorite fruit: Any kind of berries—strawberries, blueberries, blackberries—you name it!

Favorite food: Anything with cheese.

Least favorite food: Fish, because I’m allergic to it.

Drink of choice (in the air and on the ground): Mojitos are my favorite cocktail.

What do you like least about travel? For long journeys? Traveling to get there…

What do you want your loved one to buy you from an airport Duty Free store? Chocolates.

Favorite travel app(s): Award Wallet.

Most embarrassing travel moment: After my mom and I were given our hotel room key cards, we went to our room, only to find someone else in it! Turns out the employee gave us the wrong room. Oops!

Worst travel moment: A severe allergic reaction in Madrid, Spain. I was rushed in an ambulance to the hospital where I stayed overnight.

What’s your dream destination? I’ve been very blessed to see lots of amazing places, but I’d still like to see Iceland, Egypt, Kenya, Japan, Argentina, and Seychelles.

Favorite travel charity: CODR is an organization that educates girls and women in the Dominican Republic.

Best travel tip: Drink lots of water, and get to know the locals.
