BAEarn 2,000-25,000 Bonus American Airlines Miles
If you’re following me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and/or Periscope, you know I’m in Portugal this week. My wife and I flew to Lisbon on British Airways last Monday night because we prefer the Oneworld alliance, where we both have elite status with American Airlines. With elite status, whenever we fly with American or one of their partners we get all kinds of perks like better seats, lounge access and double miles—including EQMs, which help us maintain our status or, better yet, achieve the highest level for next year.

Well, our flights ended up being even more valuable than we’d planned, thanks to American Airlines’ new transatlantic promotion. As my colleague Ramsey Qubein alerted us, from now until January 31, 2016, Oneworld transatlantic passengers are eligible to receive an extra 2,000-25,000 miles just for registering—which takes less than a minute!

Here are the details straight from American Airlines’ mouth (I mean website):

“In celebration of five years of offering transatlantic travel with our airline partners, we’re offering you an opportunity to earn up to 125,000 AAdvantage® bonus miles this fall, between September 22, 2015 and January 31, 2016. You can earn 25,000 bonus miles on First or Business Class fares, 7,000 bonus miles on Premium or Full-fare Economy fares (Y, B or H) and 2,000 bonus miles on other Economy fares on each round-trip between North America and Europe. Together with our oneworld® partners British Airways, Finnair and Iberia, we’re offering you more flights, convenient access and an easy, rewarding global travel experience to Europe and beyond. Plus, when you travel on our new planes to select destinations, you’ll enjoy increased amenities, smoother connections and ultimate comfort throughout your entire trip.”

American Airlines, British Airways, Finnair, Iberia, OpenSkies, and US Airways are all participating, and all you have to do is register by clicking the button on this page before travel before January 31, 2016 (promo code is NAF15).

If you take advantage, let me know where you fly in the comments!
