How to Save Big on International Business Class
Everyone likes to fly up front in business or first class, but no one likes to shell out the money for it. Well, there are some tricks to consider when you’re looking to score cheap business class tickets. One is to have a great travel agent who has connections (I have one and you can email me for the contact info). Another way is to start and finish your trip in the international destination you’re visiting

For example, a business class roundtrip ticket from New York to Cape Town, South Africa, is $4,867 for a random date later this month. The coach ticket for that route is $1,231. However, if you start your trip in Cape Town and reverse your itinerary, the business class roundtrip ticket drops to $2,216, just a thousand dollars more than coach, which drops to just $737. I don’t know about you, but I’d pay $500 each way to sit in a lie-flat seat for a 16-hour flight. See below:

Of course, this won’t work for everyone, as most people aren’t able to swap their departure/return cities. If you’re based in New York, you have to depart out of and return to New York, right? Well, if you travel a lot to the same international destination, this is a great trick. You can read more on it on my buddy Lucky’s blog. To find out why fares vary by country, check out on my friend Cranky’s blog.
