Disney does Hawaii

The Aulani

Thinking of Hawaii brings thoughts of warm breezes rustling through palm trees and waves crashing while I doze off under the sun with a fruity drink placed next to me. When I think of a Disney experience, images of Mickey Mouse, long lines and kids crying come crashing to mind. How could the two harmoniously […]

The New Legoland Hotel in Carlsbad, California

Our Kingdom themed room.

That familiar sound of plastic Lego pieces hitting each other is what you’ll hear when entering the new Legoland Hotel. The newest San Diego County hotel has brilliantly placed a big sandbox filled with thousands of lego pieces in the middle of the lobby for young guests to hop in and enjoy.  As a parent, […]

Temecula Valley Wine Country

Morning balloon ride over Temecula

Wine tasting in Temecula Valley is a no-brainer for Southern Californians. My husband and I left the L.A. area and arrived at our first winery in 90-minutes. Portland, Oregon

Hawthorne Bridge

Getting there It was early. Even the buzz of the busy Los Angeles airport didn’t jerk us awake. Gavin said this must be like how daddy feels, as we got out of the cab. It didn’t take me long to feel that adrenaline rush of being at the airport, and after all, this was our […]

Bon Appetit’s Master Chef Classic in Beaver Creek, Colorado

Beaver-Creek-Colorado-Master-Chef-Classic-2011-25

Arriving The 90-minute direct flight from L.A. into Colorado’s Eagle County Airport went off without a hitch. Even better was the speedy shuttle ride that had us walking into the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch in just 35-minutes. Almost immediately, the Beaver Creek slogan not exactly roughing it was apparent. The lobby was complete with a […]
