The Ferry was a good experience

I had my own cabin

The Staff mostly Eastern Europeans

Were very friendly

There was lots to do

The restaurant served

good food

But I was happy to see land (I get sea sick easy) 

We then drove to the Port to hop on

Irish Ferries to ...

Cherbourg, France 

From there we went back to Wexford to check out the

Irish Heritage Center 

Here's a copy of a passengers contract ticket 

The next morning we drove 30 minutes to New Ross to take a tour of

a replica of the 1845-1870 Dunbrody

Actors re-enacted what miserable conditions were like during the crossing of the Atlantic to Canada and the U.S. ||  

As you can see on the video below, the highlight of my trip to Ireland was having dinner upstairs of this pub

and then going downstairs to listen to the locals sing Irish songs as they sipped their Guinness.

The highlight of my trip to Ireland took place in this Wexofrd Pub. (Click the link above for a 1 minute video).

From Dublin I took another 3 hour train on Irish Rail (using my Eurail pass)

I went to Wexford and checked into the Talbot Hotel (it was really nice) 

I also did the Literary Pub Crawl (11 pounds).

Bachorlette Parties 

From Cork I took the train back to Dublin and went out to the Temple Bar

It was a good time

There were tons of Hen Parties ||  

5 miles down the road from Cork is the Blarney Castle

Inside the castle is the famous "Blarney Stone". It's very touristy but

The castle and the views are beautiful

Those who want to kiss the stone (and get the gift of gab) have to lay down and lean back

Of course, I had to do it! 

From Dublin I used my Eurail pass to do a day trip to Cork

It was an easy 2:48 minute ride because I sat in their City Gold Class

And ate good food

Cork is a beutiful city

with lot's of bridges.  

Back to the Ireland/France trip in a second. (I'm home in the U.S. and last night attended the Yankees playoff game in Anaheim, it was fun until the Yanks lost).  

Dublin is a beautiful city with a lot going on -- especially Grafton Street.

The # 1 tourist attraction in Dublin is the Guinness Tour cost 14 euro = rip off (unless you really like beer) 

In Dublin, I stayed at the Davenport Hotel

It's 4 stars and has

has a good view!
