HOTEL BEAUMARCHAIS
The Ritz was too pricey for my budget, but I found another great hotel. The 3-star H�tel Beaumarchais is a very small (especially the elevator), reasonably priced hotel in a fun neighborhood (the 11th arrondissement), within walking distance of the bustling Marais and Bastille areas. The rooms are all clean, with funky, colorful designs. The bathroom is small, but also clean, and has a mosaic-tiled shower. There are plenty of cafes and shops nearby. At night it gets kind of loud (especially on weekends), so bring ear plugs in case the AC is not working (mine wasn't). Rooms begin at just 75� ($94) a night and the staff is attentive.
