Boo! United is raising the ticket change fee to $150, re-instates the dreaded Saturday night stay.

You knew this was just waiting to happen but the airlines need to combat the high fuel costs. Reuters is reporting that United Airlines will be hiking the ticket change fee from $100 to $150. Ouch! In addition they will be bringing back the old dreaded Saturday night stay requirement for cheap tickets where they compete head-to-head with other legacy carriers. It’s going to affect 65% of their market. Now, that’s going to hurt and you know the other major carriers are going to follow so it will definitely impact business travelers. Who the heck wants to be away from their family on weekends?
