Contributor Jeff Groberman recently put together a post on his experience cruising the Amazon—15 Things You Should Know Before Touring the Peruvian Amazon—and in it, he includes a few tip-worthy points.
Among them, Jeff notes that you “should budget for vaccinations” before booking any part of a trip to the Peruvian Amazon. Of course, this advice applies to anyone looking to take a trip to any far-off land, and particularly to humid, jungled and remote areas. For his Amazon cruise with G Adventures, for example, Jeff had to plunk down more than $500 for vaccinations and medications alone.
