- DELTA DUMPS INDIA CALL CENTERS. After years of customer complaints, Delta has finally hung up on its call centers in India and the Philippines. "Greg" and "Nancy" will no longer be answering Delta's phones. Calls will now be directed to call centers in the US, Jamaica and South Africa. (Don't you just love it when you call Delta and the person answering says, "Delta Air Lines, this is Miss West" with a voice as soothing as your second grade teacher and you just know she's in a bunker in Salt Lake or Augusta and you don't have to speak slowly and you don't have to repeat yourself and you know Miss West is going to be able to really help you?) Anyway....The AJC reports that Delta has more than 4,500 call center employees in the United States, including more than 1,000 in Atlanta and Augusta. Delta CEO Richard Anderson said, “the customer acceptance of call centers in foreign countries is low and our customers are not shy about letting us have that feedback.”

- Here's something we have not seen from Delta since the recession of the early 90's: TRIPLE MQM SkyMiles
through June 15. ("MQM miles" means that the bonus counts toward Medallion status.)
However (and of course) there is a catch. You'll only earn triple miles on first, business and premium
economy fares. "Discounted coach" fares will earn double MQM miles (still, not bad) and "deeply discounted"
(L, U, T codes) coach fares will continue to earn actual miles. To earn the bonus, you must sign up here:

baseball game in St. Louis. In addition, they will get access to the field during batting practice, VIP
seats to the State Farm Home Run Derby®, and spending money that is sure to make for a grand slam experience.
To enter, register at aa.com/allstar and book a flight by June 14, 2009. Travelers can receive an additional
entry when they tell a friend.
- This year some 200,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, many of them mothers.
In honor of Mother’s Day, American Airlines, long-time supporter and Lifetime Promise Partner of
Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, is launching the 2009 “Miles for the Cure” promotion.
This promotion offers donors an opportunity to receive five AAdvantage® miles for every dollar
they donate to Komen for the Cure with a minimum $25 donation. In addition to general contributions,
gifts can be made to celebrate and honor a loved one's survivorship, or in memory of a loved one or friend.
Your readers can simply visit
AA.com/komen
to make a donation to support the fight against breast cancer
and honor the special people in their lives. In 2008, this campaign came close to the $1 million mark, thanks
to the participation and donations from almost 11,000 AAdvantage® members.
