  • Rather as expected, now that JetBlue is offering regular service between New York and Boston, other airlines are feeling the pressure to drop their fares. With no reference at all to JetBlue's presence on the route, US Airways announced it was dropping its fares by 54% on its New York-Boston shuttle advance purchase fares, with a 14 day advance purchase ticket now as low as $100 roundtrip. Delta quickly matched the new low fare. SOURCE:

  • Visit Indonesia Air Pass Revised With 18,000 islands and 21 cities served, Garuda has decided not to limit its Visit Indonesia Air Pass to only three flight segments. The new air pass program, available to international visitors, includes up to six destinations with five flight segments. No specific price has yet been announced, but the airline has said it wants to make the program more attractive to visitors, who can buy the tickets either before they depart for Indonesia or within two weeks of arrival. The previous version of the air pass cost $300 for three flight segments, but considering the rate of exchange on the rupiah, most flights within Indonesia cost between $20 and $50, so it was hardly a bargain. Look for the new pass to be priced in rupiah, which will make fare comparisons easier. (Contact your local Garuda office) for more information. SOURCE: Globaltravelerusa.com
