- The Transportation Security Administration has adjusted its ban on liquids, aerosols and gels. You may now carry on travel-size toiletries. However, to ensure that your trip through security is as speedy as possible, please keep in mind the following guidelines:
• Travel-size toiletries (three ounces or less) must fit comfortably within one, quart-size, clear plastic, zip-top bag.
• Plastic bags containing liquids must be removed from carry-on luggage before passing through security checkpoints and must be screened separately.
• After clearing security, only beverages and other items purchased in the secure boarding area such as duty-free items may be brought onboard.
The following substances in amounts exceeding three ounces must be declared at checkpoints for additional screening:
• Baby formula
• Liquid medications
• Diabetic glucose treatments
