Are you interested in finding out the world's current hotspots when it comes to safety? For those who prefer not to trust the sometimes politically influenced State Department warnings, then this free list, updated daily, from AirSecurity.com should do the trick. They list all kinds of threats by levels by numbering them 1 through 5 (5 being the worst). They also list the month's significant dates. For example, for today, February 3, it displays these countries:
Iran: 11 Days of Dawn (Commemoration of the 1979 revolution; rallies and celebrations likely. Opposition rallies possible as well.) Senegal: Magal de Touba (Thousands of Muslims make pilgrimage to city of Touba.) Paraguay: San Blas Day (Patron Saint of Paraguay - Celebrations in Itá) Paraguay: Anniversary of the end of Alfredo Stroessner's dictatorship (Demonstrations may occur.)
Many emails have been circulating this past week that poor Donald Trump is selling his big ol', phat 727 airplane. I've seen this decked out bird (boasting TRUMP in gold capital letters) many times before, while taxing down the tarmac, usually at La Guardia Airport where he parked it. I've always wondered what it looked like inside. Well, thanks to the aviation company that is putting it up for sale, there are a number of photographs to kill that curiosity. The plane holds 24 passengers, has three lavatories, two conference groupings, a master bedroom shower and a dining area for five. Now I just need to find a way to hitch a ride.
