Here’s a great service for business travelers. I have been using this free service for over a year now and it occurred to me that others could benefit as well. All you have to do is sign up for an account – it’s free. Anytime you have a conference call with your colleagues (or friends), simply insert everyone’s email and a blast will be sent to notify them of the date and time, and request an RSVP (though RSVPing is not required). It’s an Iowan phone number, which is free for many U.S. telephone providers since they include long distance (it is for me since I use Vonage). If I’m abroad, I call in using Skype so it usually just costs a couple of cents a minute. The sound is crystal clear and the connection is secure and private. Up to 100 callers are allowed and the maximum time is 3 hours.
Have you ever taken your seat on a plane (or a train) and just before plopping your head back, you spot a long black hair dangling from the headrest? Yuck! It’s happened to me more than once – including in first class. Obviously, the airlines don’t change these covers for every flight because of their bottom-line budgets. So, if you want to be sure to keep your head sanitized from who knows what, you can now buy your own head covers. Travel Kleen sells these disposable headrest covers that easily attach to fabric, leather and synthetic materials without marring the surface and can be quickly removed for future use. They come two to a package, cost $9.95 and as a guerilla marketer myself, they make for fantastic promotional opportunities, as people/companies can brand them themselves!
