Bored in your hotel room? Don’t like the selection of $9.95 Spectravision in-room movies?
Or even worse, your hotel doesn’t even offer Pay-Per-View movies? Well, those days are over for travelers with a PC
(sorry Mac users) because now you can log on to a variety of websites and download thousands of movies to your laptop.
Practically any movie available on DVD is available online to rent or purchase, including new releases. The quality is crystal
clear and prices are reasonable. MovieLink.com and CinemaNow.com charge $3.95 each for new releases for the first 24 hours to view it
(most new releases cost $14.95 to keep) and Vongo.com offers their customers unlimited movies for $9.99 a month. No more staring up at
the ceiling.
Here’s a subject that will make any traveler cringe: bed bugs. That’s right! I just read about them in a recent
Travel Smart newsletter and the nasty truth is that sometimes even the best hotels have them. Now there’s a website (created by a couple of Harvard docs) that informs travelers about everything they need to know on how to spot, treat, avoid and get rid these nasty critters. Did you suddenly start scratching? Because I can’t stop.
