Now this is a useful travel website … if you’re traveling to Barcelona, Boston, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, New York, Paris, Prague, Rome, or San Francisco and aren’t sure how much a taxi ride will cost from point A to point B, there’s a way to find out. Visit the site and check it out! I simply entered in LAX as point A and my home address as point B and the generated results were spot on. I can’t guarantee that every calculation will be just as accurate, but I’m sure you will let me know! The only downside is that this service is only offered for a limited number of cities.
Here’s a new travel website that just launched last week. It’s called TravelingBoy.com but it’s short for The Traveling Boitanos. How the site was created is just as interesting as the content it contains. Here’s the back-story: On July 5th, 2007, 14 Boitano siblings met for the first time at a family reunion. Their only link, and completely unbeknownst to one another, was that they shared the same father. The occasion for the reunion was the 80th birthday celebration of their father Floyd Boitano. Despite having different mothers and having been raised in entirely different environments, all twelve siblings exhibited certain common traits and possessed an almost uncanny resemblance to one another. It became obvious that the well-traveled Floyd Boitano genes were strong and that the Boitano family was finally becoming one. At the end of the day, the group decided to create a family newsletter, in an attempt to stay in contact with one another. The newsletter evolved into TravelingBoy.com. On the site, each Boitano writes about a different subject -- from food travel to political travel.
