My cousin Dennis has food allergies and it’s a serious problem for him, especially when he travels overseas. If you have food allergies, too, you’ll be interested in this site. Making sure that the server/chef at a restaurant knows exactly what your allergies are is not the easiest thing to do – especially if there’s a language barrier. But thanks to SelectWisely, the chances of having an allergic reaction have just dropped dramatically. SelectWisely has a whole slew of travel translation cards for $8.50. They can be translated from English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Greek, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese (Brazilian and Continental), Russian, Swedish, Thai and Chinese (Mainland and Taiwan). If they don’t provide cards with your allergy or in your language, you can place a special order. Happy eating!
I recently downloaded Google Desktop as a handy tool to help me track down websites or emails, without having to sift through all my files. And this week's website complements Google Desktop nicely. Evernote.com allows you to easily capture information in any environment, using whatever device or platform you have (PC or Mac). It’s sort of like clipping articles from magazines except that there are no scissors involved and you’re "clipping" web pages instead of paper. It saves you time, not to mention it’s better for the environment! Click here to see a video demonstration.
