The oil is just continuing to flow from the bottom of the Gulf (see webcam of the week for a live view) and the Gulf Coast is feeling the affects in so many ways. To give everyone an update on the area, there's a new community website, which aims to provide a centralized place with information on travel conditions in all Gulf States. It has a comprehensive list of tourism resources, beach status reports and oil spill monitoring for Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and the general Gulf of Mexico region. There's also an aggregated Twitter feed from Gulf State tourism boards and travel professionals.
Do you like listening to music but don't want to pay 99 cents a song and don't want to download your tunes illegally? If you're just listening to music from your computer, you can create a playlist from a huge library and play for free. It's basically like iTunes as you can search and listen to any music you want but you can't transfer the files to your iPod (the files are just browser based and can't be downloaded). It's great for people chained to their desks or on the go.
