Greetings from St. Kitts! Last week, we left off after completing a twelve and a half hour flight from Brisbane to L.A. I wasn't home in California for long ... just long enough to attend a mini family reunion at my cousin's wedding and take in a play at UCLA. Before I knew it, it was back to LAX. What's crazy is that it took three planes to get to St. Kitts and the same amount of time as it did to fly home from Australia. But don't worry! Most visitors will plan better and fly to St. Kitts on days that nonstop flights are operating. Besides, most people are traveling from the east coast and the Midwest. For those folks, it's just a few hours away. If you're pressed for time but still want a taste of St. Kitts, there's a four-minute Johnny Jet video at the end of this week's newsletter. And don't forget to read Devin Janosov's final installment about his search for Nessie in Scotland's famed Loch Ness. In addition, our newest contributor Janos Gereben shares some interesting news about the growing medical tourism industry.

CALIFORNIA WEDDING
When I landed in Los Angeles, I was torn about what to do. Part of me wanted to jump on another plane and make my way to Connecticut for my 20th high school reunion that was taking place that same night, while the more sensible part of me said to skip it. I'm glad I did because it would've been too much travel and I wouldn't even had time to take a shower ... and that's no way to impress your mates whom you haven't seen in years, now is it? But more importantly, my dad, sister, aunt, uncle and cousins were in town for our cousin Catherine Ann's wedding. It took place that same day at the Trump National Golf Club in Palos Verdes, a public course and a nice place to go for lunch to admire the incredible ocean views. I was so glad I didn't miss the wedding because we had an amazing time and it felt just like the old days when we used to have weekly Sunday family gatherings at my grandmother's house for pasta.

DA VINCI CODE
Staying in Los Angeles also meant that I was also able to attend back-to-back media events. One was for Kerry Hotels at the Music Box Theater in Hollywood and the other was a King Lear play sponsored by Visit Britain. Sir Ian McKellen starred in the Royal Shakespeare Company's production, which took place at UCLA's Royce Hall. "UCLA Live" has a variety of regular performances and what a beautiful theatre to see them in. This time, the hall was packed with celebrities and afterwards, I had the privilege of meeting the British cast. Unlike my astute father, I have never taken to Shakespeare and truthfully, I had no clue what the heck was going on! It was like they were speaking a foreign language and I wasn't prepared when Sir Ian stood there in the middle of the stage and dropped trou! Seriously, the man dropped his drawers to his ankles for a good minute but it felt like an entire day. My non-Shakespearean-versed friends were also unprepared for that stunt. They both looked at me with eyebrows raised and blank stares on their faces. Then, one whispered, "Is that thing for real?" I said, "I hope not -- because if it is I better go get an extension!" I guess if I were hung like that, I would be getting a part as King Lear, too.

The play was three and half hours and I only stuck around because Sir Ian McKellen was in the Da Vinci Code movie and I wanted to tell him about the pilot TV show I made last year. It was based on the Da Vinci Code film locations and we filmed in France, England and Scotland in 2006. We were able to get some amazing interviews including one with the head of Opus Dei, Lady Victoria, the Duchess of Rutland and we even opened up in the same room (512) in the Paris Ritz ... just like the book. Unfortunately, the show never got picked up but if you're interested in seeing it, we are selling copies for just $20. You just have to send a check to JohnnyJet, Inc; PO Box 3213; Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 and allow two to four weeks for delivery.

BEST AIRPORT TO MAKE A CONNECTION
Many people have already commented on seeing my name associated with a new study commissioned by AXE (a leader in men's grooming) which reveals the best and worst airports in which to make a love connection. The survey found that Philadelphia International is the number one airport in the United States. That's due to the fact that they have some of the nation's longest and most frequent flight delays (32 percent of all flights are delayed, averaging 60 minutes). In turn, that gives passengers a chance to hang their hat in one of 16 bars and seven lounges or grab a cheese steak at one of 57 restaurants. The other top five airports in the study include Newark (there's lots of time to meet someone during the 70-minute delays), JFK, LaGuardia and Washington-Dulles.
