JOHNNY JET'S Q & A
With The Consumer Advocate: Clark Howard

PROFILE

Clark founded an Atlanta travel agency in 1981 that he built into a very successful chain with locations across metro area. He sold the company in 1987 and at age 31 retired. He found his way into public life almost by accident. While he was living the life of leisure, he was asked to be a guest on a radio show about travel. In 1993, he opened the Consumer Action Center, an advice service for consumer questions and now staffed by over 140 volunteers. "The Clark Howard Show" airs Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on his flagship station NewsTalk 750 WSB in Atlanta. Clark is heard answering a wide variety of consumer questions and bringing listeners the latest consumer news from one to four hours each weekday in more than 130 other U.S. cities. For the best ways to make the most of your money, check out Clark's latest book, "Get Clark Smart."
