PROFILE

I was an engineer in silicon valley and traveled a lot for one of my jobs. Sitting on a plane watching people struggle to get their garment bags into the overhead bins made me think there had to be a better way to pack carry-on luggage. I applied for a patent to roll garments around a cylinder and the SkyRoll was born! I've turned my idea into a product and a company with one of the most innovative new products in the luggage industry. SkyRoll was named a best product of 2001 by Business Week magazine. Maybe 10 times a year, mostly less than a week at a time.

I used to earn a lot but now I try to use all the points I've already earned

FAVORITE AIRLINE?
I fly United the most but I really like the people at Southwest. They have a great attitude and they make flying fun
FAVORITE AIRCRAFT?
747 or 777. It's a great feeling when something that big gets off the ground.
FAVORITE HOTEL?
Doesn't matter, as long as it's clean and a good value.
FAVORITE HOTEL AMENITY?
Chocolate chip cookies at the front desk.
FAVORITE AIRPORT?
They all seem about the same to me
FAVORITE AIRPORT TO PASS TIME IN?
Londond Heathrow. I couldn't believe how many shops they had. I thought I was in a mall that just happened to have airplanes. I bought a sandwich at the Harrods store and ate it on the plane. Very classy ;-)
FAVORITE CITY?
Paris was a great place to be a tourist. I think Boulder, CO is my favorite town in the USA.

Gabrielle in New Orleans

I've learned to accept E tickets.

I haven't used a travel agent in 20 years. I do everything online.
