HOW OFTEN DO YOU FLY?
In the past year only a few times as my job does not involve travel at the moment - although I have managed to squeeze in Thailand and S.Africa. However in the past couple of decades I have clocked up the following aviation feats:
- crossed the Atlantic over 100 times
- flown round the world 1 and a quarter times in 7 days (LON-TORONTO-TOKYO-LONDON-DALLAS)
- worked on 4 different continents in 13 days (Switzerland, USA, S.Africa, Japan)
- slept with Diana Ross (well, OK, she was across the aisle....but she was wearing her First Class sleeper suit !) And then, on the ground in earlier times I have visited 30 US states, hitch-hiked round Europe and cycled across Northern France on a tandem bicycle.
WHAT CLASS OF SERVICE DO YOU MOSTLY FLY IN?
As a travel industry employee, it just depends how lucky I am, but on big planes I much prefer to turn left
FAVORITE AIRLINE?
I'm biased, so I can't answer that one
FAVORITE AIRCRAFT?
I have no idea, as I still cannot tell one from the other. I know the one with the big fat front is a jumbo something, and the big pointy nose is a Concorde, but after that I'm stumped !
FAVORITE HOTEL?
Grand Hyatt, Bali - 7 swiming pools, cheap beer, and the ever present sound of the Indian Ocean
FAVORITE AIRPORT?
Singapore Changi - you can spend all day there, and I have...at least twice. There's plenty to do
FAVORITE CITY?
Although I live close by, it is still probably London, but I also have to say I love San Antonio, Texas, or my wife will kill me...luckily I think it's a great place, too !
AISLE OR WINDOW?
Listen, jump seat is fine so long as I get on

BEST TRAVEL TIP:
In the middle row in the back cabin on a big fat jumbo, always disturb everyone and go to the rest room during the meal service (afterwards it will be hell !)
