The tour heads to San Marino this week which is the smallest country in the world. It's located on the top of a mountain about an hour's drive from Bologna, Italy and is famous for its Medieval Castles and tax free status. I'm playing with Gaston Etlis (ARG) here and we're still hanging in the tournament. We beat Del Rio (ARG) - Calatrava (SPA) 6-3, 6-4 in the first round and Savolt (HUN) - Stoliarov (RUS) in the second round 6-4, 4-6, 6-0. We played the second round tonight starting at 10:30PM and finishing at 12:30AM. We were behind most of the first set, but scrapped out a couple of breaks near the end of the set to win it and then proceeded to get down early again in the second set. I went into a funk as it was past my bedtime and I was getting ornery. Fortunately, we started out well in the third set and stayed awake long enough to pull out the match. So, it will be a few more days of pasta for me as we don't play our semifinal match until Saturday evening. It's just as well as it's nearly impossible to find a flight anywhere in Europe back to anywhere in the US this weekend. I may have to pose as someone's pet just to get on a flight back home.
