Walt Disney’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” is cherished by many as one of the most enchanting films of all time, and this year is the 75th aninversary of its release. The effect of watching “Snow White” is a singular experience, full of whimsy and magic, as well as touches of darkness and mystery.

My favorite travel tip for San Francisco is…Be sure to have either lunch or dinner in North Beach then go to see Beach Blanket Babylon. BBB is a uniquely San Franciscan treasure. A wise traveler will take a taxi, as parking in nearly impossible in the North Beach area.

My favorite travel tip for San Francisco is if you plan on walking, wear comfortable sneakers!! Flip-flops or dress shoes will surely kill your feet!

My favorite travel tip for San Francisco is don’t attempt to take public transportation to your hotel! The walk from the BART will kill you! We had to take a cab the last 100 yards to the hotel door! (The next time we took a shared-ride service from the airport, which was much easier!)

I have a few “musts” when I visit SFO – go to Fisherman’s Wharf and go to Chinatown. Each a unique adventure in discovering a great city!

My San Francisco advice is to be sure to visit Alcatraz. It has the BEST audio tour I have ever taken. The cost is included with the price of the ferry/boat ride over to the island. The tour guides you through the facility and it is coordinated so your group will all be together, but frees you from being with a herd of other tourists. The actors and sound effects are exceptional.

San Francisco has one of the largest concentrations of independent bookstores. Green Apple, Borderlands, or my favorite City Lights, you have to check one out!
