About five years ago my brother gave me a pair of Keen’s for my birthday. As they were open toe sporting shoes I brought them with me whenever I went to a warm destination. On my recent trip to Hawaii one of the writers said she was friends with their PR person and they ended up sending me two brand spanking new pairs. One of them was a lightweight performance sandal ($100) that is designed for warm weather adventures with toe-off traction. I have no idea what toe-off traction means but I do know they not only look sleek but they are also really comfortable. That’s something to be said because I have bad feet (from wearing flat shoes growing up) and I’ve been using orthotics. But lately, the orthotics have been hurting so I tossed them and haven’t been able to find a shoe that doesn’t hurt. So far these Keens along with the pair of Trailheads ($130) they sent me are doing the trick. It’s only been a week so my fingers are crossed but I think I’m good to go. I have a pair of Gucci dress up shoes, but my feet hurt wearing them before I even walk out the door! By the way the website description of the Trailheads is that they are a lightweight hiker shoe with built-in technology including a specially designed 4mm lugged outsole, KEEN Zorb strobel and KEEN DRY waterproof breathable membrane. It turns out most of my outdoor active friends wear them too and love them! And no they didn’t get them for free.

There is nothing more important than a comfortable shoe, I think.
My daughter bought a pair of Keens before taking a 35 day trip to Europe. She laughed at all the other girls on the trip as they wore little strappy flat sandals and complained every single day about their feet hurting. She had absolutely no complaints about her Keens and highly recommends them!
Got a pair of Keen shoes before heading out on a 35 day trip ..not sandals.. Shoes felt like gloves. I never wanted to take them off. As soon as I return home I am picking up some sandals. Beauty of these shoes is that they can be put in the washing machine and they dry overnight.
