reader-travel-tip2A Tip for Women Who Like Earrings
Each Friday, we feature a reader-submitted tip as our Travel Tip of the Day. This week’s tip comes from reader Mary Lou G. of Torrance, CA, who says:

“If you like to bring several pairs of earrings along to match your travel clothes or just for fun, nothing beats a simple plastic pill container with separate compartments for each day of the week. If seven pairs aren’t enough for you, you can usually fit two pairs in each compartment of the container.”

A great tip for all who like to wear earrings. Here’s a link to a few pill case options on Amazon. Thanks, Mary Lou!

EXCELLENT SUGGESTION – I almost ruined a pair of sterling post earrings by storing them in a fabric fold-up bag – the posts bent.
Next time I will use the pill boxes!

Yes, pill boxes are great for organizing earrings and jewelry. For long earrings I use empty pill bottles or old film canisters. Thread a chain necklace through a drinking straw to keep it from tangling – cut the straw in half and thread it through a couple of times. It will fit inside a taller pill bottle. Even thought I have several nice jewelry rolls, I seldom use them now.
