Travel App of the Week: Tripstir

TripstirHave you ever had a conversation with a friend or family member and learned that you were in the same place at the same time—but didn’t know it? Or even worse, you were bored out of your mind in a place by yourself, and you later hear: “If I’d only known, I would’ve taken you to a fun party or event!” Well, Tripstir—an app that so new that it’s not even live yet—hopes to eliminate that scenario forever. With Tripstir, business travelers won’t have to eat at the bar alone.

Once Tripstir launches next month, it will notify users of any overlaps in their travel schedules with the schedules of their friends, family and people that they’re following. It will also share your schedule (if you allow it to).

Other features include the ability to search for a user or city-and-date combination to see where others are planning to go. In addition, it will allow users to share photos, videos and recommendations from trips with their followers. If enough of your friends use it, Tripstir should make your travels a lot more fun (and busy).
