Cover the Peephole
I hadn’t thought to share this tip until I saw a tweet from my friend @adventuregirl. She tweeted recently: “1st thing I do when in a #hotel room? Cover the peep hole using Kleenex! Ensures privacy!” After the whole Erin Andrews incident, especially, it makes a lot of sense.

We also do this when we stay at different hotels. We take a small piece of tissue, wet it a little and cram it into the peephole. I try to remember to remove it once we check out.
I travel for pleasure extensively and always take along a small roll of adhesive tape in my suitcase. I tear off a small piece and stick it over the peep hole and it never falls off. If anyone attempts to look through it, they only see blackness.
