Long Security LineGive Yourself Extra Time for Security
If you’re traveling this week, especially in Europe, make sure to leave plenty of extra time for yourself at the airport. This morning, I flew from Amsterdam to London Heathrow, where I boarded the flight to North America I’m on now. Both of the security lines I waited in were surprisingly short, but both times agents told me the short line was anomalous (probably because it was so early, 5:30 am and then 7:30 am, on a Wednesday). Later in the day, they said, lines were expected to be much longer. With the enhanced security right now and at the heart of spring break…leave plenty of time. Remember, if you miss your flight, it will be difficult to get on another one as planes are currently flying at or near capacity. There just aren’t many seats to accommodate you, so it’s better to be safe than sorry.
