The First Country in the World to Get Its Own Telephone Number
Sweden just became the first country in the world to get its own telephone number. What’s that mean?

Basically, you can pick up a phone anywhere in the world, 24/7, and be connected to a random Swedish citizen to talk about whatever you like (in English). It’s both in good fun and in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the abolishment of censorship in Sweden, which was a first for an entire country.

The number: +46771 793336 (+46771 SWEDEN)

Watch the video above or visit TheSwedishNumber.com for more. Or, just give a Swede a call!

One has to be pretty bored to call a random person and yack…or a telemarketer…or a prince from Nigeria. The poor Swedes have no idea what they’re in for.
