The Pope is Coming, and That Means Papal Delays
Thanks to my good friend and #TravelSkills co-host Chris McGinnis for reminding me of the Pope’s visit to the US next week. Travelers heading to or through New York City, Washington, DC and Philadelphia next week might want to rework their flights and travels around his schedule, as the delays are going to be intense. I’m now going to change mine!

Here’s the official schedule for the Pope’s visit, by city and hour:

  • The Pope is due to arrive Tuesday afternoon outside Washington at Andrews Air Force Base, and he’ll be in DC on Wednesday and Thursday (September 23 and 24)
  • Then on Thursday afternoon he flies into New York’s JFK and he’ll be in the city through Friday, September 25
  • He flies to Philadelphia Saturday morning and will be in Philadelphia Saturday and Sunday (September 26 and 27)

Here’s more from Chris’s TravelSkills newsletter, which I highly recommend you sign up to.
