The Baths of Virgin Gorda

Here’s a clever PR stunt. The U.S. Virgin Islands is celebrating the 100th anniversary of Transfer Day by giving $300 gift cards to people who book a trip to one of their islands (St. Croix, St. John and St. Thomas).

The catch is that the spending has to go towards historical and cultural tours or activities. According to a New York City news station, “Transfer Day is a holiday celebrated on March 31 when Denmark transferred the Virgin Islands to the United States for $25 million in gold.”

You need to book your trip before Oct. 1, 2017 and travel before Dec. 31, 2017. A three-night minimum stay is required and the booking code is CP1. For more information, see the VisitUSVI website.
