There’s nothing like watching kids open up their presents on Christmas morning. It’s such a magical time. I clearly remember Christmas mornings in my home growing up and I strive to make them as special and memorable for my children as my parents did for me.

If you’re still shopping for little ones, here are some of my favorite gift ideas for kids, that will hopefully put a big smile on their face come Christmas morning.

Airplane Mode hoodie: This cozy hoodie from Flytographer is the perfect accessory for a kid’s next trip. It’s pre-shrunk and has a double-lined hood. Perfect for staying warm all fall and winter, on cool summer evenings and on chilly airplanes.

LeapFrog Chat and Count Emoji Phone: Is there any child on the planet not obsessed with getting their hands on your phone? Now they can have their own!

Colorful World of Dinosaurs: If you know a child who can’t get enough of dinosaurs, this book is a sure hit. It’s packed page-to-page with fun facts and the watercolor illustrations are gorgeous.

Awesome Jokes Book: I got Awesome Jokes Every 5 Year Old Should Know for my son but these books are available for a range of ages.

Digital Camera for Kids: My mom got this for my son this Christmas and I can’t wait for him to open it! It’s an actual digital camera that comes with a 2.4″ screen on the back and a 16GB SD card.

Inchimals: This game makes learning fun by teaching kids counting and sequencing and improving fine motor skills and visual-spatial skills.

Mr. Willowby’s Christmas Tree: A classic Christmas story recommended to us by a reader; our kids LOVE it!

Bunchems: No toy has ever kept my son occupied and quiet for as long as this one. A perfect gift for any parent who needs a break.

Kids Origami Kit: A fun and colorful way to teach kids (and adults!) beginner origami.

Lego Dots Picture Frame: Once our son has designed his frame, I’ll put a photo of his cousin from Toronto in it. He hasn’t seen her in a year due to COVID and misses her terribly.

4-pack Airplane Toys: These colorful foam airplanes are a huge hit with my four-year-old son.

Little Blue Truck’s Christmas: Our kids love the Little Blue Truck books, especially the Christmas one because the tree lights up on the last page.

Candy Land: This board game was actually recommended by my son’s pediatrician to help teach skills like listening to instructions, obeying rules and waiting your turn. In a fun way, of course!

Surfer Dude: Seriously, the best beach toy for kids. Just like a boomerang, when you throw it into the ocean, it catches a wave and surfs right back to you.

Leapfrog Educational DVD Pack: It’s hard to limit screen time if you’re working from home with kids. But at least they can watch something educational. I highly recommend these DVDs.

Encyclopedia Britannica Electronic Reader: My mom gave this to my son for his birthday last year and he absolutely loves it. He can listen to the books all by himself and he just loves learning about animals.
