When First Class Rail is Cheaper than Coach
I’ve written about the same thing before regarding airline tickets, but I didn’t realize it was true for trains, too—until I recently went to purchase a train ticket from Lyon to Paris on RailEurope.com. Whenever you buy a train ticket, look or ask (if calling or at the ticket counter) how much the higher-class seats cost. There’s at least a chance they’re cheaper than what’s available in coach. And who doesn’t like sitting in better seats for less money?
