On Thursday morning Natalie and I drove to Erie. We left Toronto at 6 a.m. to avoid traffic at the border, which was a great move because we cruised right through. It was the first time that I didn’t have to wait even a second for an empty lane. I monitored the Peace Bridge website most of the day and there wasn’t much traffic nor was there any on Sunday morning when we crossed back over at 10:30 a.m. But there were some delays later Sunday afternoon. Most of the delays were from Canadians taking advantage of Black Friday deals (Thanksgiving in Canada is celebrated the second Monday in October). Highlights in Erie besides seeing my family and eating turkey were playing football with my nephew and Scrabble with my dad and walking on the beach. We got really lucky with the weather–the temps hovered in the low 60s, which is crazy-warm for the end of November. Speaking of crazy-warm, yesterday I was in New York City where the temps reached 67F!

I stumbled upon this post and found it very interesting that you are from Erie, as I have friends in Erie and was personally born and raised in a small town between there and Pittsburgh called Mercer, Pennsylvania. If you are ever in the Uniontown, PA (southeast of Pittsburgh) area, you need to come visit a little known resort by the name of Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. You won’t believe this place and the things that there are to do here. Visit our website if you would like a taste of something spectacular! Hope to see you soon!!!

    Hi Johnny-

GREAT show when you went for the live interview with Leo in his Petaluma studio “Tech Guy Labs” a couple of months (?) ago.

Hope you can do another live show from Leo’s studio when you’re in his “neck of the woods”.

I’m in “your neck of the woods” when you’re home. I’m here in Orange County.

It will be a while before I do any major traveling, but I’m “taking notes” on your recommendations when that time comes. My last big trip was to Taiwan to visit friends in 2012.

I’m a big fan of Boeings’ 777-300ER. EVA Airways does a great job for that 14 hr. flight which felt more like 4 hrs. between LAX and TPE. For “shorter flights”, I try to book on any airline with the Boeing 737-800.

    Keep up the GREAT job,

    -Les
