Consider alternate hotel shuttle buses

Each Friday, we feature a reader-submitted tip as our Travel Tip of the Day. This week’s tip comes from reader Jeff M., who says:

“If you have arrived at the airport and are waiting for a shuttle to a particular hotel or car rental facility, I find it can save time if I am familiar with which facilities are nextdoor to where I want to go. I never wait for the particular shuttle if another comes by sooner that is only a short walk from my intended destination. This may seem unethical to you but consider that these shuttles are never full and you should tip the drivers anyway. No harm done in my book.”

Thanks, Jeff!

Johnny, It depends on your destination, in Tokyo from Narita to Tokyo it is best to take a shuttle that stops at your hotel (there usually is a charge involved) and tipping is never considered acceptable or necessary.
