You may be eligible for The Platinum Card® from American Express targeted 100,000+ Membership Rewards® points bonus. That’s right! There’s currently a possible enhanced 100,000-point+ offer through the CreditCards.com CardMatch™ tool. The targeted Amex Platinum bonus, worth $1,000+ in award travel, is the highest Amex Platinum welcome bonus you can usually earn.
Note that the American Express Platinum 100k+ offers are targeted offers. You will need to use the CardMatch™ tool to see if you qualify. Don’t worry. It’s free to see if you are targeted for the offer and takes a minute or less. You only have to enter your basic contact information and the last four digits of your Social Security Number to see the best credit offers.
Otherwise, the current 100,000 welcome bonus is still pretty amazing. New The Platinum Card® from American Express cardmembers can earn 100,000 Membership Rewards® Points after spending $6,000 on purchases on the Card in the first 6 months of Card Membership. New cardholders also earn 10x points on eligible purchases on the Card at restaurants worldwide and when you Shop Small in the U.S., on up to $25,000 in combined purchases, during your first 6 months of Card Membership. Terms apply.

Current American Express Platinum Offer
Both offers are higher than the current welcome bonus (which is still pretty darn good).

American Express Platinum 150k or 125k Offer
Let’s make one thing clear: this is a large welcome bonus for The Platinum Card® from American Express. It’s also a targeted offer.
If you qualify, you only have to spend $6,000 in the first 6 months to earn the full 125,000-point bonus or the 150,000 bonus. Already one of the best travel credit cards available, this bonus gives cardholders more.
Besides the bonus points, your normal purchase rewards will be 5x points on airfare purchased directly from the airline or using AmexTravel.com, up to $500,000 on these purchases per calendar year. Prepaid hotels booked with American Express Travel earn unlimited 5x points. All other purchases earn 1 point per $1 spent.
Because American Express currently exercises a “once in a lifetime” welcome offer policy, you can never earn a second Platinum Card welcome bonus once you earn the first bonus.
Waiting to try for the American Express Platinum Card with a 150,000-point bonus or 125,000-point bonus lets you maximize your application.

Redeeming 125,000 or 150,000 Membership Rewards Points
Having 100,000 bonus Membership Rewards points can be worth $1,000 or more in award travel (125,000 points can be worth $1,250 in award travel and 150,000 points can be worth $1,500 in travel). To squeeze at least $1,000 from your bonus points, focus on redeeming your points for award flights as each point can be worth at least one cent each. Below are some of the ways you can redeem your Membership Rewards points for maximum value.
Book Award Flights on AmexTravel.com
Each Membership Rewards point is worth one cent each when booking flights on AmexTravel.com. This can be an easy way to book points when you need to fly an airline that isn’t a 1:1 Membership Rewards transfer partner. If you earn the American Express Platinum 125k or 100k offer, you will have plenty of options to choose from.
1:1 Point Transfers
Transferring your points on a 1:1 basis to the Membership Rewards transfer partners can help you find higher redemption value. After all, you only need to make each point worth more than 1 cent to make the welcome bonus worth at least $1,000. This is one of the benefits that make the Platinum card one of the best credit cards for excellent credit.
Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer
One of the best premium cabin experiences is Singapore Suites on select Singapore Airlines flights with their Airbus A380 fleet. You will get a private first class suite that includes a separate bed. To stay under 100,000-points, one of the cheapest routes to fly is New York to Frankfurt for 76,000 miles one way. You can also fly from New York to Singapore for 132,000 miles, which may be a better option if you qualify for the 125,000 point offer.
British Airways Executive Club
When flying to Hawaii, you can transfer your points to British Airways first. The next step is to book partner flights on American Airlines or Alaska Airlines. From the U.S. West Coast, one-way economy flights can cost 12,500 miles. Booking the same flight directly through American can cost 22,500 miles. By doing it this way, you can save 10,000 miles for each seat you book.

Aer Lingus AerClub
They also have reasonable award prices for flying to Ireland. From the U.S. East Coast, economy seats start at 13,000 Avios on off-peak dates. Business-class seats cost 50,000 Avios. With the American Express Platinum enhanced offer, you can easily book a few trips. To your benefit, Aer Lingus is one of the few foreign airlines that doesn’t charge fuel surcharges on long-haul flights.
One of the best coast-to-coast US premium experiences is flying JetBlue Mint. One-way flights from New York to LAX cost 58,400 points. As a side note, the transfer ratio is 250 Membership Rewards to 200 JetBlue miles. This isn’t quite a 1:1 transfer ratio, but you might be able to make up the difference when JetBlue’s award flights require fewer points than national carriers on the same route.
Other 1:1 transfer partners include Delta SkyMiles, Emirates, Etihad, and Avianca LifeMiles, to name a few transfer partners. Speaking of travel transfer partners, because this is a metal card, you won’t have to worry so much about the wear and tear that happens with plastic cards.
Amex Platinum Bonus Offer Benefits
Besides the enhanced welcome bonus, The Platinum Card® from American Express has generous travel benefits. Cardholders can also enjoy a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fee credit. Other benefits include:

- Prepaid hotels booked with American Express Travel earn unlimited 5x points.

Cardholders can get $200 back in statement credits each year on prepaid Fine Hotels + Resorts® or The Hotel Collection bookings with American Express Travel when paying with their Platinum Card®.

Plus, American Express has expanded The Centurion® Network to include 40+ Centurion Lounge and Studio locations worldwide. Now there are even more places your Platinum Card® can get you complimentary entry and exclusive perks.
Terms apply. Enrollment may be required.
New The Platinum Card from American Express Benefits
There’s also a new digital entertainment credit. Cardholders can get up to $20 in statement credits each month when you pay for eligible purchases with the Platinum Card® at your choice of one or more of the following providers: Peacock, Audible, SiriusXM, and The New York Times. Enrollment required.
In addition to enjoying TSA PreCheck or Global Entry access, cardholders can also enjoy CLEAR perks. Cardholders can use their Card and get up to $179 back per year on their CLEAR® membership. Terms apply.
Another exciting new benefit is the ability for cardholders to enjoy up to $25 back each month on select Equinox memberships. This amounts to up to $300 annually. Enrollment required.
The annual fee is $695 (See Rates & Fees) but can be offset with the perks, which are valued at over $1,400.
American Express Gold Card Bonus
This card isn’t as luxurious as the Platinum Card, which has one of the best credit card offers in 2021. However, it can be a better fit if you can’t meet the minimum spending requirement this time. Don’t forget the Amex once-in-a-lifetime policy. Once you earn the Platinum Card bonus, you won’t be able to earn the card’s welcome offer again.
With the American Express® Gold Card, you still have access to the Membership Rewards 1:1 airline transfer partners and the other redemption options that the Platinum Card offers. The American Express Gold Card offers a different set of benefits you might be able to maximize:
- Earn unlimited 4x Membership Rewards® points on dining purchases, including takeout and deliveries
- 4x points at US supermarkets (up to $25,000 annually, then 1 point per $1)
- 3x points on flights booked directly through the airline or AmexTravel.com
- Terms apply
Additionally, cardholders get up to $120 for dining credit at select restaurants, annually (enrollment required).

American Express® Gold Card cardholders can also get up to $120 in Uber Cash annually. Plus, you’ll earn 4x Membership Rewards® points for each Uber Eats purchase on your card. To use this perk, simply add your card to your Uber account and you’ll automatically get $10 in Uber Cash each month in your Uber account for U.S. Uber Eats orders or U.S. Uber rides. Any unused Uber Cash expires at the end of each month (it does not roll over to the next month).
Cardholders also get up to 12 complimentary months of Eats Pass when you subscribe with your American Express Gold Card. That’s a value of up to $119 annually (based on the $9.99 monthly price over 12 months). With the Uber Eats Pass, you can get unlimited $0 Delivery Fees and 5% off orders over $15 at eligible restaurants. Note that taxes and service fees may apply and do not count toward the order minimum.
This benefit applies only in the U.S. on U.S. orders at eligible restaurants and on eligible restaurant purchases.
Enrollment is required by 12/31/2021. After that, the Uber Eats Pass will begin auto-billing 12 months after your enrollment in this offer, at the then-current monthly price. Learn more about the Uber Eats partnership for more information.
The Amex Gold Card’s annual fee is $250, and there are no foreign transaction fees (See Rates & Fees).
