Best Business Credit Cards for Office Supplies

1. Ink Business Cash Credit Card

The Chase Ink Business Cash® Credit Card gives you 5% back on the first $25,000 in combined spend at office supply stores and on internet, cable and phone services. You also get 2% back on the first $25,000 in combined spending at gas stations and restaurants. All non-bonus spending earns an unlimited 1% back.

This Chase business credit card option doesn’t charge an annual fee so it can be the perfect business credit card for office supply stores, even if you use another business credit card for your daily spending. Your points are worth one cent each and redeemable for cash, travel, and gift cards.

Additionally, cardholders may redeem rewards for cash back, gift cards, travel, and more through the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal. Fraud protection is also included with the card as well as zero fraud liability. Cardholders won’t be held responsible for unauthorized charges made with their card or with their account information.

One reason why you may not try for this card is if you have too many recent credit card openings. All of the Chase Ink Business credit cards fall under the “5/24 rule.” If you have added at least 5 new credit cards -personal or business – in the most recent 24 months, Chase will most likely decline your application, though there may be a few exceptions.

2. American Express Blue Business Cash Card

The American Express Blue Business Cash™ Card, lets you earn 2% cash back on all eligible purchases on up to $50,000 per calendar year, then 1%. Cash back earned is automatically credited to your statement. There is no need to activate anything or categorize, making it pretty easy to use.

You can also take advantage of the ability to buy above your credit limit (you’ll get cash back on those purchases as well). While the amount you’re allowed to spend isn’t unlimited, you can adjust it. It will adjust based on how you use your card, your payment history, credit history, and other factors that American Express is aware of.

So that means you get 2% on eligible purchases at U.S. office supply stores, phone services, airfare, hotel rooms, rental cars, advertising purchases, shipping, computer-related purchases, etc. This card doesn’t have an annual fee (See Rates & Fees), which makes it another great option for easily earning the highest rewards on office supply purchases.

5. The Blue Business Plus Credit Card from American Express

Most travel rewards cards don’t offer bonus points for office supply store purchases. An exception is The Blue Business® Plus Credit Card from American Express. You earn 2x Membership Rewards points for the first $50,000 in business spending annually on everyday business purchases. Spending over $50,000 earns 1 point per dollar spent for the remainder of the year.

No annual fee (See Rates & Fees) and double points make the Blue Business Plus a handy card.

Cardholders can also enjoy more flexibility to use their card for more purchases and rewards when buying above their credit limit. While this amount is not unlimited, it does adjust with card use, payment history, credit record, financial reasons known to AMEX, and other factors. Expanded Buying Power gives businesses more ways to earn points and maximize their card.

Another valuable redemption option is the 1:1 point transfers to airline partners like Delta SkyMiles, British Airways Avios, and JetBlue among others.

6. United Business Card
