The Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card might be your best option if you run an online store. The bonus categories cater to digital businesses. You earn 3 Ultimate Rewards points on the first $150,000 (then 1 point per $1) in combined spending for these purchases:

  • Travel
  • Shipping
  • Internet, cable and phone services
  • Advertising on social media or search engines

All non-bonus spending earns unlimited 1 point per $1 spent.

Note that this card is also one of the best business credit cards for advertising spending. Being able to earn triple points on advertising spend is another easy way to maximize your daily business purchases. Earning 3x points on travel is also a valuable bonus.

Your points can be redeemed for travel, cash, or shopping rewards with a minimum value of 1 cent per point. They are most valuable when redeemed for travel. Each point is worth 25% more if you book upcoming award travel on the Ultimate Rewards travel portal.

You can also transfer your points on a 1:1 basis to leading airline and hotel loyalty programs including Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, World of Hyatt, and Marriott Bonvoy.

The Ink Business Preferred Credit Card, one of the best credit cards for travel purchases, has a reasonable $95 annual fee and an impressive signup bonus worth up to $1,250 in award travel. You can earn 100,000 bonus points after spending $15,000 in the first 3 months.

American Express Business Gold Card

It possible to earn 4 Membership Rewards points per $1 on shipping purchases with the American Express® Business Gold Card. You can earn 4x points on the two categories where your business spent the most each billing cycle:

  • Airfare purchased directly from airlines
  • Advertising on radio, tv, and online (U.S. purchases only)
  • Select computer hardware, software, and cloud solutions providers (U.S. purchases only)
  • Gas Stations (U.S. purchases only)
  • Restaurants (U.S. purchases only)
  • Shipping (U.S. purchases only)

The first $150,000 in combined spending for these bonus categories earns 4 points per $1. All remaining purchases earn an unlimited 1 point per $1 spent.

The American Express Business Gold Card welcome offer is the ability to earn 35,000 points after you spend $5,000 on eligible purchases within the first 3 months of account opening.

Your points are most valuable when redeemed for air travel booked through American Express. You get 25% of your points back when booking award flights on the airline of your choice. All first-class and business class bookings get 25% back, regardless of the airline.

Note: If you’re interested in earning airline miles, it’s worth mentioning that several airline credit cards have high limited-time offers currently ongoing. Hawaiian Airlines credit cards and Avianca LifeMiles credit cards each come with the ability for new cardholders to earn 60,000 miles after meeting their spending requirements within the given amount of time.

Cardholders also have access to a Pay Over Time Option, which is a flexible payment option, with interest, to help manage cash flow on purchases of $100 or more (terms apply).

This card has a $295 annual fee (See Rates & Fees). You will need to determine if the two bonus categories and the 25% air travel redemption bonus are worth it.

American Express Blue Business Cash Card

Not all credit cards for shipping have travel rewards as their best redemption option. If you prefer cash rewards, the American Express Blue Business Cash™ Card earns 2% cash back on all eligible purchases on up to $50,000 per calendar year, then 1%.

It also comes with Expanded Buying Power which gives cardholders the ability to spend beyond their credit limit. While the amount you are able to spend is not unlimited, it can be improved should you need it. The amount will adjust with card usage, payment history, credit record, and financial resources that American Express is able to review, and other factors.

Blue Business Plus Credit Card from American Express

If you prefer redeeming your points for travel rewards instead of cash, The Blue Business® Plus Credit Card from American Express has a similar rewards structure to the American Express Blue Business Cash Card. With The Blue Business Plus Credit Card from American Express, you will earn 2x points per $1 on the first $50,000 in everyday business purchases per calendar year, 1x point per dollar thereafter.

Cardholders can also enjoy more flexibility to use their card for more purchases and rewards when buying above their credit limit. While this amount is not unlimited, it does adjust with card use, payment history, credit record, financial reasons known to AMEX, and other factors. Expanded Buying Power gives businesses more ways to earn points and maximize their card.

The only difference is you earn Membership Rewards (instead of cash back) which can be redeemed for award flights or transferred on a 1:1 basis to partner airlines. These partners include Delta SkyMiles, British Airways Avios, and Asia Miles.

Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express Card

The Marriott Bonvoy Business™ American Express® Card lets you earn 6x points on Marriott purchases. You can also earn 4x bonus points at U.S. restaurants, on purchases at U.S. gas stations, on wireless telephone services purchased directly from U.S. service providers, and on U.S. purchases for shipping. Non-bonus spending earns 2 points per $1 spent.

Your card anniversary bonus each year is one free hotel night at any property requiring 35,000 points or less. This bonus alone can be worth more than the $125 annual fee (See Rates & Fees). You earn a second free night each year after spending $60,000 in total card purchases.

Other Marriott Bonvoy perks include automatic Silver Elite status, 15 Elite Night credits, and premium in-room internet access. You can also transfer your points to over 300 airlines (most on a 3:1 basis) to book award flights plus hotel nights. Transferring 60,000 points gives you a 5,000-point transfer bonus.

This card is also one of the best Marriott credit cards available.

Also, note that the Marriott Bonvoy Business™ American Express® Card has a limited-time welcome bonus. New cardholders can earn 100,000 Marriott Bonvoy points after making $5,000 in purchases within your first 3 months of card membership. Plus, you can earn up to $150 in statement credits within your first 6 months of card membership for all eligible purchases on U.S. advertising in select media. New cardholders also receive complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite status for one year (February 1, 2021-January 31, 2022). This offer ends on 01/13/21.

Hilton Honors American Express Business Card

Hilton loyalists will be pleased to hear the Hilton Honors American Express Business Card earns bonus points on shipping and other business purchases. This card also offers a mixture of hotel and air travel rewards that you might appreciate.

Cardholders can earn 12x points at hotels and resorts in the Hilton portfolio, 6x points on select business & travel purchases, and 3x on all other eligible purchases.

You get a free weekend night reward after spending $15,000 in a calendar year. A second night is awarded after spending $60,000 annually. These perks make it one of the best Hilton Honors credit cards available.

Automatic Hilton Honors Gold Elite status is another card perk which lets you enjoy complimentary breakfast at all hotels and earn unlimited milestone bonuses. Spending $40,000 in a year upgrades you to Diamond status through next calendar year.
